After launching the Oppo Find X8 lineup globally, the manufacturer is now working on the Oppo Find X8 Ultra.
As the top-end smartphone in this series, the handset will most likely remain exclusive to the home market. Following a recent leak about its processor and camera, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra variant is in the news once again for featuring a spectral imaging sensor.
Spectral Red Imaging Sensor
Going by the post by tipster Smart Pikachu, the primary camera of the Find X8 Ultra will incorporate a spectral red maple imaging sensor. This sensor along with its imaging technology has already found its way into the Huawei Mate 70 lineup.

Exclusive to the X8 Ultra in the series, the sensor will render natural skin tones and exact colors when the camera is used to take photographs of people. This camera will work along with other shooters like macro, ultra-wide-angle, and telephoto snappers. The sensor will deliver natural colors even when the lighting conditions are not favorable.
In the same leak, the tipster adds a line to say that there will be a new color option that is exclusive to the Find X8 Ultra.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra Expected Specifications
An earlier leak by another popular tipster Digital Chat Station points out that the Find X8 Ultra will house a huge silicon-carbide battery and a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset from Qualcomm under its hood.
He also mentions that the smartphone will have four cameras including a couple of periscope snappers on the back. All four cameras will have a 50 MP resolution. The periscope cameras will support 3x to 6x zooming.
In the display department, the handset will have a 6.82-inch OLED X2 LTPO BOE display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a micro-quad-curved design.
While talks are on that the Oppo Find X8 will be launched next year, it is yet to be known when exactly this is bound to happen.
