Reports in the past suggested that Oppo will launch the Oppo Find X9s, the compact smartphone in the Find X9 series, along with the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro in China in September.
However, a new leak now makes us think otherwise. Although the name has not been officially confirmed, it is likely to be the Find X9s given the fact that the compact handset in the preceding lineup is called the Find X8s.
Expected Details
Although the Weibo post by Digital Chat Station does not explicitly mention the name of the smartphone, it is safe to assume that it is about the upcoming Oppo Find X9s.
The post claims that the development of the Find X9s is progressing at a slow rate and it is most likely to break cover next year along with the Find X9 Ultra. For the unversed, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro broke cover in October last year while the Find X8s and Find X8 Ultra launched in April this year.

The same post goes on to add that the handset will have an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner. It will also feature a triple camera setup, including a periscope camera. The Find X9s is also being tested with the Dimensity 9500 processor from MediaTek. It will sport a 6.3-inch flat screen.
Other Rumored Oppo Find X9 Series Specs
A few days ago, the same tipster shared a few details about the base variant, Oppo Find X9, in the lineup through another Weibo post.
The smartphone will have a 6.59-inch flat panel and bezels of the same size on all sides. There will also be an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will have a huge silicon battery with support for wireless charging

The handset will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. While the main camera is being tested for a 50 MP resolution, there will be a periscope camera too.
The Find X9 will have a revamped ID design that renders an enhanced in-hand feel. It will have full-level waterproofing that could mean an IP 68/69 rating.
