Nissan announced that it has started pre-booking for the all new Automatic SUV, Terrano which will be equipped with a 6-Speed Advanced Auto-Drive Transmission in India.
The new fully automatic variant will be available on for the premium grade of XVD, which will be the top of its line variant of the Terrano. The Terrano comes embodied with the global SUV heritage of Nissan, carrying hints of designs from the global SUV line-up. The Nissan Terrano AMT will come in two variants namely the XL Plus and the XV Premium models, and they might be priced on the higher side than its manual variants.
Details of the Power House
The new Automatic SUV, Terrano from Nissan, comes with a 6-Speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) which when combined with the diesel motor engine of 1.5 liters capacity, produces a torque of 248 Nm and a power of 110 PS. These components of the Nissan Terrano are similar to those that are found on the Easy-R AMT variant of the Renault Duster. According to the ARAI tests, the fuel efficiency of the 6-Speed Advanced Auto Drive Terrano comes with a mileage offering of 19.61 Kmpl.
The Terrano which comes with an AMT-equipped grade also brings with it features like Hill Assist Control and the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) for extra safety and traction.
The Exterior Details
In addition to the ESP and Hill Assist Control features for safety, there are also other features which offer protection like the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), dual air-bags, Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and also sensors for Rear Parking.
The Terrano range of the 2016 model will also include other new features like rear-view mirrors that are integrated with turn signals and can be electrically folded, a white backlit illumination for the door switches, a new side armrest for the driver, compact trim doors, side windows for the driver with anti-pinch technology, and the updated dashboard comes with soft touch plastics.
The standard features that will be available across all the variants of the 2016 model Terrano range will include the new compact and trim design of the doors, turn indicators enabled by one-touch technology, and an automatic warning for emergency braking.
A new body color of Sandstone Brown will be available for all the variants of the Nissan Terrano range, along with the other existing standard color range which includes the Pearl White, Blade Silver, Sterling Grey, Bronze Grey, Sapphire Black, and Fire Red. The New Automatic Nissan Terrano range will come with as many as almost 14 new features and enhancements and a new glossy Sandstone Brown body color.
Pricing and Pre-Booking
The new Automatic SUV Terrano from Nissan, with an Advanced Auto Drive, will be available for the Indian customers in the price range of Rs. 13.75 lakh – 13.85 lakh. This amount is with respect to the ex-showroom price in Delhi, India. The interested customers can also pre-book their car by depositing an amount of Rs. 25,000 at the Nissan dealerships in India. The sales and deliveries of the new Terrano SUV are expected to commence later this month.
