Samsung is working on the launch of its upcoming Samsung Galaxy A16. The upcoming smartphone was recently noticed on the Bluetooth SIG Certification website.
The Galaxy A16 5G name indicates that the smartphone offers support for 5G. The handset will arrive as a successor to the Galaxy A15 that hit the market last year.
The Bluetooth SIG Certification listing shows the Samsung Galaxy A16 associated with five model number variants. The handset with the model number SM-A166B/DS is likely to be the global variant with support for dual SIM. The model numbers SM-A166E/DS and SM-A166M/DS represent the models for the European and Indian markets. On the other hand, the handset associated with the SM-A1660 model number may be the Chinese counterpart.
Other Certification Listings
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has earlier been spotted on a few other certification websites. Some of them have also mentioned a few specifications of the smartphone.
The Galaxy A16 5G has been already listed on the IMEI Certification website and the UK Carrier database. The handset has also been noticed on the 3C website that mentioned the smartphone will be powered by a 4,860 mAh battery marketed as 5000 mAh.

Two variants of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G have been spotted on the Geekbench certification website. One variant is anticipated to be for customers in Asia or Africa and is equipped with an Exynos 1330 5G chipset. The other variant houses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Based on the Geekbench test results of both the models, the Exynos model outperformed the Dimensity Galaxy A16 with scores of 967 and 1,971 in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The Dimensity counterpart scored 514 and 1,1464 in that order.
The manufacturer is yet to reveal any pricing information about the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G smartphones. However, the A series smartphones are known to come with an affordable price tag and the Galaxy A16 is likely to have a price similar to that of its predecessor that costs around INR 17,000.
