Samsung Galaxy A7 2017

Looking at the launch date of Samsung Galaxy A7 2016, we should be close to the launch of the 2017 version of the same phone. However, the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed the launch date just yet.

Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 has been in the rumor mills for quite some time, but up to now, Samsung has not said a word on the phone’s launch date as well as the specs and features to expect. Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped us from getting our hands on some details of the phone, more specifically, the hardware specs as well as some features that will ship with the phone.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A7 2017 alongside other Galaxy A series handsets, among them the Galaxy A3 2017 and Galaxy A5 2017. However, it is the high-end Galaxy A7 2017 that will for sure come in with a bunch of more interesting features.

According to earlier reports, the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor, an Exynos 7880 SoC that is paired with a RAM of 3GB. In terms of storage, rumors point towards two options of 32GB and 64GB. As usual with Samsung handsets in this category, there will be room for microSD card storage capable of handling up to 256GB.

Well, we now have a leaked spec sheet of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 ahead of the phone’s official launch. From the leak, there are lots of similarities with what has been trending in rumor mills, among them a confirmation that indeed the phone will ship with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Furthermore, the Galaxy A7 2017 will also come in with a 5.7-inch Full HD screen that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 technology and 16MP snappers on both the front and back.

The battery unit will be massive at 3600mAh, same as what is found on the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. While there are no IP certification details confirmed, the leak shows that the phone will indeed come with water resistance, USB-C connectivity as well as a fingerprint scanner. All these will be housed in a metal and glass body.

With Samsung yet to roll out any Android Nougat device or update, we expect to see Android Marshmallow power the Galaxy A7 2017 out of the box, but an update to the newer version should come in 2017. Up until now, there is no word on when exactly this phone, alongside the Galaxy A3 2017 and Galaxy A5 2017, will be launched to the market, but it shouldn’t be long before it happens.
