The past few days have seen more and more details surface regarding the rumored Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. The overall results of this have been hints of what exactly these two devices will look like, their specs, pricing as well as the possible release date.
Coming from a new line of Samsung Galaxy C series, it is kind of hard to relate this product to previous models. Nonetheless, the effort Samsung has been directing towards the mid-range class while at the same time trying to keep up with the most-favored designs and sizes in the smartphone world suggest that this is another lineup almost similar to the Galaxy A and J series.
In the last month report sourced from Sam Mobile China and put forward by Sam Mobile, the newest members of the company’s ever-growing list of mid-range devices, Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, will be unveiled to the public this month of May. A disappointing part of the story is that the device will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, but this may possibly change at some point.
Through the same Samsung-centric website, details of the specs and pricing of these two smartphones that will reportedly fit between the high-end Galaxy S series and the lower end models have emerged. As far as the report is concerned, both Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7 will feature an all-metal body with very slim profiles of between 6mm and 7mm.
Despite being two different devices, there will be some feature-sharing between them. For instance, a Full HD display unit with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and Ultra High-Quality Audio will be featured on both handsets. Other common specs that these two handsets will share include a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC, 4GB RAM, similar storage options of 32 and 64GB, front and rear snappers of 16MP and 8MP respectively, as well as Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As for the differences, Samsung Galaxy C5 will come with a 5.2-inch screen size while Galaxy C7 will feature a larger 5.7-inch display size. Furthermore, the C5 will also carry a smaller battery unit of 2600mAh and a similarly smaller price tag of about $246. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy C7 will pack a larger 3300mAh battery unit to support its huge screen as well as a higher price tag of about $276.
