Not so long ago, support pages for Samsung Galaxy S8+ leaked, with the company’s own staff to blame after listing it on a number of its official websites in India, Kazakhstan, and Singapore.
Apparently, the same thing is happening with the company’s Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, which has now appeared on the Hong Kong support page. From the listing, this Galaxy C7 Pro phone will ship with a model number SM-C7010, same number as the device that will be sold in China. With this in mind, it is easy to believe that the tech giant has no plans of changing the model number for the variant that will be shipped to Hong Kong.
This is an interesting turn of events at Samsung – leaking details about the Galaxy S8+ and now the Galaxy C7 Pro. Nonetheless, this has given us an insight into what the company has in store. Since details of the C7 Pro have been here for quite some time now and it appears that there won’t be any changes between the two devices released in China and Hong Kong, we should see the same specs retained on the upcoming C7 Pro for those in Southeastern China.
The phone has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen that ships with a Full HD resolution. The processor under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core clocked at a speed of 2.2 GHz. This is then paired with an Adreno 506 GPU alongside a flagship RAM of 4GB. The onboard storage will be 64GB and this can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 256GB.
The back of Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro should ship with a 16MP snapper – and so will the front panel. To keep it alive, expect a huge 3300mAh battery unit alongside support for fast charging via USB-C reversible connector. A fingerprint scanner will be mounted on the front-facing physical home button and in terms of software, there will be Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. According to reports, the Galaxy C7 Pro will be priced at CNY 2,899, which is equivalent to $420.
Given that the Galaxy C series is no longer exclusive to China as earlier thought, expectations are hight that other regions, including India and Europe, will also receive the Galaxy C7 Pro and possibly the C5 Pro as well. We’ll let you know if and when this happens. Stay tuned!
