Samsung Galaxy F42 5G (SM-E426B) Gets Benchmarked with Dimensity 700 SoC and 6GB RAM

Upcoming Samsung Galaxy F42 5G with key specifications spotted on Geekbench; Could be a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G phone.

Samsung seems to be gearing up to add a new member in the Galaxy F-series, which is the Galaxy F42 5G. The smartphone carries model number SM-E426B. Today, we have spotted the Galaxy F42 5G on benchmarking site Geekbench which reveals some key specifications of the phone. As per the listing, the phone is powered by the MT6833V/NZA code-named chipset which is nothing but the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G (SM-E426B) Geekbench

The phone with 6GB of RAM was tested on Geekbench. However, there will be more variants that will be revealed at the launch. The Galaxy F42 5G boots Android 11 OS which is most likely to come with Samsung’s One UI 3.1 skin at the top. It managed to pull off 559 points in the single-core test and 1719 in the multi-core test. In the past, the Galaxy F42 has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance, and BIS, thereby hinting at an imminent launch.

Is Galaxy F42 5G a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G?

Reports believe that Galaxy F42 5G will launch as a rebadged Galaxy A22 5G. The specs revealed by the Geekbench listing also match with that of Galaxy A22 5G, which adds some weight to the rumors. Samsung has already announced the India launch of the Galaxy A22 5G which is happening tomorrow, on July 23.

If the rebranding rumor is true, then Galaxy F42 5G may offer a 6.6-inch FullHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The chipset is likely to be coupled with 4GB / 6GB 8GB RAM and 64GB / 12GB internal storage. On the back, Galaxy F42 5G may feature a triple camera setup which includes 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone is likely to offer a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
