It’s been a while since the first markets got Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 and Galaxy J7 2017. However, Samsung has just confirmed that folks in the U.S. will be able to get their hands on the pair starting July 28, which is actually this week Friday.
Both Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 and Galaxy J7 2017 will be sold as unlocked models in the U.S. Where the former gives you an entry-level package, the latter comes with a slightly amped hardware configuration that also gives you a taste of Android 7.0 Nougat on the cheap.
The Galaxy J3 2017 has a 5-inch TFT display screen with an HD resolution and unlike the models sold in other markets, you get a measly 5MP shooter on the back alongside a 2MP sensor for selfies. The phone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and for the hardware, you get an Exynos 7570 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and mated with 1.5GB of RAM.
There’s a 16GB storage module that can be expanded via a microSD card and for the battery, you get a 2600mAh unit, which is not bad.
As for the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017, you get a bigger 5.5-inch TFT display screen that keeps the same HD resolution, but the processor is more powerful, an Exynos 7870 octa-core clocked at 1.6GHz and is mated with 2GB RAM alongside 16GB of expandable storage. The back camera has an 8MP lens and the front has a 5MP lens for selfies and for the battery, you get a huge 3300mAh unit. In terms of software, the Galaxy J7 2017 is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
As noted, the Galaxy J3 2017 and Galaxy J7 2017 are bringing you a taste of Android 7.0 Nougat on the cheap. Where the former will be priced at $150, the latter will set you back $220. Starting this Friday, you will be able to grab either phone via major retailers across the country, including Samsung’s online store.
