Not so long ago it emerged that there is a new Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 variant in the making. The phone came in with model number SM-J327A, which appears to be a model destined for AT&T carrier in the U.S.
While the leak did not give out any more details other than the model number and the fact that it will be based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, we now have access to even more info coming from Wi-Fi Alliance with respect to the rumored Samsung Galaxy J3 2017.
The phone has no planned date for release yet, but Samsung may launch the phone, alongside the Galaxy J5 2017 and Galaxy J7 2017, somewhere in March or April, just like last year’s models. In addition to the AT&T variant (SM-J327A) that recently passed by the Wi-Fi Alliance group, one more variant has also shown up at the same body with model number SM-J327VL.
Usually, Verizon Wireless uses a V at the end of the model number, which would yield something like SM-J327V. But with a VL at the end of the model number, it is not fully confirmed that this is indeed a Verizon variant of the Galaxy J3 2017. On the other hand, the other phones with model numbers SM-J727P and SM- J727R4 can be confirmed as Sprint and U.S. Cellular variants, respectively. The Verizon model still hasn’t confirmed the OS on board, unlike the SM-J327A, SM-J727R4 and SM-J727P variants that we know will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
While Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 is also expected to join the part sooner than later, it has yet to make an appearance at the Wi-Fi Alliance body. Once it does, like the Galaxy J3 2017 and J7 2017, we should confirm that the phones will soon be making their debut. As for the specs and other features, we should start seeing more details coming in as from now henceforth. Stay tuned and we’ll bring you the latest updates.
