Samsung Galaxy J series is the company’s entry-level family, but every now and then, Samsung tries to amp the specs and features in order to give users more powerful versions of the same phones.
These amped versions come with a Pro moniker and one of them is the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, which poses as the slightly more powerful version of the Galaxy J7 2017. Although the phone is not sold in all markets where the standard version is available, there are a good number of users of the phone out there.
Last month, Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro received an update to October’s Android security patch and to keep on with this process, the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out an update for November’s Android security patch. Despite the fact that it’s only a few days before a new security patch is released by Google, it’s still great to see Samsung taking care of its budget phones just as it does with respect to the high-end Galaxy S and Note series.
Since the update is rolling out as an OTA, not everyone using the Galaxy J7 Pro will get the notification at the same time. However, you should make sure you download and install the update once it hits your phone because it not only brings the latest monthly security patch, but it also installs the fix for KRACK Wi-Fi exploit that affects millions of devices across the globe.
Even though the vulnerability hasn’t been exploited, it’s a good thing to rest assured that you are safe. But as noted, it will take time before all Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro users receive the OTA notification. If you haven’t, now would be the perfect time to head to the phone’s Settings>Software update and download the update manually.
