Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Lite and S10+: Super AMOLED Displays on All Variants

Samsung Galaxy S10

In a latest Samsung Galaxy S10 leak, it’s clear that all three variants of the S10 series would have Super AMOLED Display.

A lot has been written over the expected specifications of the much-awaited Samsung flagships in the Galaxy S series slated for February launch. Many pieces are falling into place and one more added today is the display type as exposed by an Ice universe tweet. Barely have they got it wrong. This time it is about the three main variants’ display details. Here they are:

Its Super AMOLED All the Way

Ice universe claims the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite with the 5.8 inch display will sport an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and 2K+ Super AMOLED display. As you may know, the S10 Lite is expected to be the budget segment variant with some areas like the camera section being fitted with just 2 sensors against 3 and 4 cameras adorning the rear panel of the higher end variants.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 will have a display size of 6.1 inches and the aspect ratio will be 19:9. The same 2K+ Super AMOLED display will be featured on this variant as well. This variant is expected to be the standard one in the series and the market expectation is it will sell the most in terms of the numbers. It is likely to sport a triple sensor setup in the rear.

The top end Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will have all of 6.4 inches for display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. There will be no difference in the display type, the same 2K+ Super AMOLED stays.

More on the Galaxy S10 Lite Display

Another tweet by Ice universe shows the design of what is supposed to be the protective film for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. It shows the thin film as wide as the four sides. Though the provision for the round hole is not so clearly visible it is possibly there. The corners are round, which has been shown in some renders earlier as well.

The point that has attracted the attention of many is the fact that Samsung is going ahead with the Super AMOLED display for its budget model too while Apple settled for an LCD panel for its iPhone XR model.
