It has been coming and it is finally here – the first real image of the much rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has finally appeared.
The new tablet, which Samsung is expected to launch at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona on Feb. 26, has been in the rumors for quite some time now. Less than two weeks before it is launched, we have the real images of what it’ll look like. Apparently, the incoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will ship with an S Pen along with it, but unlike the usual cases where the S Pen has a slot on the device for easy portability, the new one will have no such slot.
Instead, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 buyers will have to carry the S Pen separately – and it’s really big. In addition, the latest report suggests that the Tab S3 will only ship in a single size, but there will be two variants of the same. The Wi-Fi only variant has model number SM-T820 while the LTE variant has model number SM-T825, so be careful when you are out there purchasing them. If reports on the streets are to be believed, the latter variant could be priced at about $500.

In terms of hardware specs, the two variants will keep the same sheet. A 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen is expected and this will have a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels or what is called QXGA. Under the hood, there will be one major difference, where the LTE variant has a SIM-card slot while the Wi-Fi variant has no such slot. However, the performance specs remain unchanged. You get a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with a RAM of 4GB. The base storage has 32GB (expandable) and there is also talk of a high-end variant of 64GB.
While tablets are not usually the best when it comes to photography, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is shoving this notion aside, with rumors repeatedly pointing towards the same 12MP/5MP configuration that was used on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. In case you didn’t notice, the Tab S3 also comes with the same performance specs as the two S7 phones.
Make sure to be here on February 26 when Samsung unveils the Galaxy Tab S3 and we’ll update you on the full details of this tablet.
