According to a new report, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be launched at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona this coming month of February.
The show will be held from February 27th to March 2nd. In addition, the same report also gives out details about the specs as well as the price of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. As you may already know, the tablet is coming to take the place of the Galaxy Tab S2, which is well into its second year following its August 2015 release.
Samsung had already confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will not be unveiled at the MWC show and even though it did not give out a date, rumors are pegging this event at March 29. If this is true, the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 could be the only flagship device that the company will unveil at this prestigious event for mobile device OEMs.
If this report is to be believed, the flagship tablet will pack quite an impressive set of hardware specs. Apparently, the previously rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is on the cards and the display screen will reportedly be at 9.6 inches, with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Like Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the Galaxy Tab S3 will also ship with a flagship RAM of 4GB.
Like the previous model, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will have two variants – Wi-Fi only and LTE. The same cameras used on the Galaxy S7 could also be making their way to the Tab S3, meaning fans stand a chance of getting a 12MP shooter with f/1.7 aperture on the back alongside a 5MP snapper of the same aperture on the front.
This tablet was recently certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, confirming that it will be based on Google’s Android. According to this report, the tablet will ship with the latest version of this OS – Android 7.0 Nougat. As for the pricing, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be sold locally for 700,000 Won, which is about $600. Details of international availability are yet to be leaked.
