Time for a new rumor about the hot trending Samsung Galaxy S8!
The most recent reports suggest that Samsung will be looking forward to manufacturing a massive 10 million units of the Galaxy S8. This is supposed to be the initial produce from the South-Korean smartphone maker. The order for setting the parts of the flagship device is rumored to happen in February 2017, followed by an official announcement in March 2017, and is expected to be released in April 2017.
The Rumored Specs
In spite of the rigid security measures, many alleged rumors of the Galaxy S8 have surfaced online regarding its firmware build, specifications, images, and a lot more. These leaked images and renders have given the users a rough idea about what is to be expected from the Galaxy S8.
According to the leaked images, the display of the device will probably be an edge-to-edge, with a huge 90% screen-to-body ratio. Earlier rumors suggested that the fingerprint sensor will be pushed to the backside of the phone. But, by looking at the images, it seems like this was merely a rumor since the back of the device has just the camera and the flash module. The fingerprint sensor has probably been built in the display itself. Another notable change is that the Samsung logo has taken the place of the Home button. There is an Iris scanner in the front, above the display screen.
There were many other rumors which suggested that the Galaxy S8 would be arriving with dual rear cameras. But that is not to be seen in these leaked images. So, the question arises as to whether the rendered images belong to the S8 or to the S8 Plus, and if it is the Galaxy S8 in the pictures, then it is definitely not coming with a dual camera on its back. The dual camera setup will probably be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus since it is expected to be a bigger device.
According to sources, for the United States, the Galaxy S8 is rumored to be powered by a 10nm octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset from Qualcomm and for the other regions, the device will be run by an equally efficient Samsung Exynos 8 Octa processor. The device will pack in a 6 GB RAM, with an internal storage capacity of 128 GB, which can be expanded to 256 GB. There is a microSD slot, a primary camera of 12 MP resolutions and an 8 MP secondary camera, with auto-focus and LED flash features. The display screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be a 5.7”, whereas the Galaxy S8 Plus is expected to have a 6.2” display.
All these specifications and details have been based on reports and no official statement has been made by Samsung yet. So, it could probably be fake news too and should be taken with caution. It is just a wait and watch game to see if these rumors stand true. If Samsung pulls off this design on a positive note, then it could give some serious competition to Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models.
