The Vivo V5 Plus is one great phone for those who enjoy taking selfies at the slightest chance possible. Apparently, Vivo has just given the phone a new taste dubbed the IPL Limited Edition.
Just in case you didn’t know, the IPL is the Indian Premier League and so far, it has just clocked 10 years in the sporting industry. To mark this special achievement, the Vivo V5 Plus, which was released in January 2017, is getting a new matte black hue as a limited edition.
The new selfie-centric Vivo V5 Plus is not just a special release for the IPL, but is also exclusive to India’s biggest online retailer, Flipkart. In addition to getting a new color finish, this IPL Limited Edition comes with a Vivo IPL logo on the back panel, however, the specs and other features remain unchanged.
To keep you refreshed, the Vivo V5 Plus ships with a decent 5.5-inch IPS LCD display screen that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). To ensure that you don’t suffer unexpected breaks or cracks of the screen when the phone accidentally breaks, the V5 Plus ships with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
Under the hood, the Vivo V5 Plus has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, a powerful midrange chipset that has eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz paired with an Adreno 506 GPU and an impressive 4GB of RAM. Even though you don’t get a microSD card slot, the selfie-centric handset has a good 64GB package on board.
For the cameras, the Vivo V5 Plus comes in with a 16MP lens on the back. This shooter packs an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, LED flash and support for up to 4K video recording. On the front, you find a dual camera of 20MP+8MP, boasting the same aperture as the main shooter and support for up to 1080p video recording.
To keep the Vivo V5 Plus going is a 3160mAh battery unit that is not removable, is charged via a microUSB port and supports fast battery charging technology. So far, the phone had only been available in two color variants of gold and gray. The new IPL Limited Edition will set you back Rs 25, 990.
