The MWC 2017 will be held on the 26th of February this year and many new smartphones will be launched at the event.
It is expected that among these, the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus series will also be launched. These are the successors to the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus respectively. Many other new smartphones, such as the HTC U series, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro were devices that were launched last month.
Moto G5 Expectations
It is reported that the Moto G5 will come with a 5 inches, full HD screen display. The 1.4 GHz, octa core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset MSM8937, will power it. This will be combined with a RAM of 2 GB and an internal memory of 32 GB. As for the camera, the Moto G5 will come with a 13 MP camera as its primary or rear camera. The selfie or front camera has a resolution of 5 MP. The device offer dual SIM features and runs on the latest Android Nougat, 7.0 version out of the box. A battery of 2800 mAh powers it. The device can be considered as updated version of the Moto G4 Play.
Moto G5 Rumors
It is rumored that the Moto G5 Plus, the other smartphone from Motorola, to be announced at the MWC 2017, will have a 5.5 inches screen. The display will be a full HD one with a resolution of 1080 pixels. The smartphone will be equipped with the 2.0 GHz, octa core Snapdragon 625 chipset. It will be combined with a bigger RAM of 4 GB and will have two internal storage options, 32 GB and 64 GB. As for the camera on the Moto G 5 Plus, the rear camera comes with a resolution of 13 MP and the front camera with a resolution of 5 MP. This is also a dual SIM phone and it also runs on the same Android Nougat, 7.0 version out of the box. The battery is a little more powerful when compared to the Moto G5 and is powered at 3080 mAh.
It is expected that Sony will launch 5 phones at the event. The Sony Yoshino is the flagship device coming with the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, RAM of 4 GB and 6GB options and 5.5 inches display. The image sensor on the device is the latest IMX400 from Sony.
Sony Keyaki is another phone with a display of 5.2 inches and powered by MediaTek, Helio P20, with a RAM of 4 GB and internal storage of 64 GB. The rear camera is 23 MP and the front one is 16 MP.
It is rumored to have a metal and glass design with a new 18:9, aspect ratio. It is waterproof and comes with the USB Type C port. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and will offer wireless charging abilities for charging to 50% within half an hour.
