T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 Cleared by the FCC as Release Nears

Samsung Galaxy J7 2017

Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 has just landed on Verizon as the Galaxy J7 V, but T-Mobile appears to be almost ready to unveil its version in the coming days, if not weeks.

The carrier’s variant of Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 has just made a stop by the FCC, an indicator that the phone’s release is just around the corner. The phone will carry model number SM-J727T and even though the listing doesn’t give out a lot about the specs and features of the phone, we don’t expect anything different from what Verizon has already released in the shape of Galaxy J7 V.

While there have been reports that the Galaxy J7 2017 will come in with an Exynos 7870 processor, we don’t expect this to be the case for the U.S. market. Here, the budget phone should ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, same as the one powering the J7 V model. This processor will then be paired with a RAM of 2GB alongside a storage of 16GB, which can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 256GB.

The Galaxy J7 V has an 8MP main camera and a 5MP sensor on the front. When T-Mobile unveils its version of the Galaxy J7 2017, these should still be the camera specs. Furthermore, the battery unit will still be at 3300mAh, which is indeed great for a device that has a 720p HD resolution on a 5.5-inch display screen.

Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 will be powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. For now, we can’t really tell what T-Mobile will price the phone at, but looking at Verizon’s price tag, the Magenta carrier should value the Galaxy J7 2017 at somewhere below $250. We’ll be here to let you know the exact details when the phone comes out. Keep following us!
