Though there is no sign of an official update, fans are being assured that the game will not take forever to release!
It is a huge thing for a gaming title, announced 7 years ago, to continue making news. However, when you realize the game is a part of a hugely successful franchise, you do not feel surprised about this. A formal announcement of The Elder Scrolls 6 came through at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018.
During the event, Todd Howard, who serves as the executive producer and director at Bethesda Game Studios, showcased a teaser trailer confirming the fact that the pre-production process for the game had begun.

At the same event, Todd had stated that the game would be launched after Fallout 76 and Starfield, two games being developed by the studio at that time, come out. Though these two games have been released, there is still no sign of The Elder Scrolls 6.
In the last seven years, one has come across a plethora of information on The Elder Scrolls 6. From insiders talking about the game’s developmental cycle to leakers declaring its release date, one has witnessed a lot of information fly by. The one thing everybody wants to know is when one will get to play the game. A section of fans is worried about the hype around the game dying down by the time it finally sees the light of day.
If Jez Corden from Windows Central is to be believed, The Elder Scrolls 6 will arrive sooner than most gamers expect. While speaking on The Xbox Two podcast, Corden stated that fans will not wait too long for the arrival of The Elder Scrolls 6.
Though the statement made by Corden should be taken with a pinch of salt, it has made fans hopeful about getting the opportunity to play the game sometime in the near future.

That being said, fans are still waiting for Bethesda to offer them some clarity on the game’s release window. Waiting for seven years to get some update on the game has made fans anxious.
If the studio gives them some idea of when they can expect the game to come out, it will definitely help soothe anxious nerves.
