For ESO content updates, the gaming studio is pivoting to a new seasonal system.
ZeniMax Online Studios has just made an announcement a new seasonal system designed for offering fresh content to those who play The Elder Scrolls Online. The Elder Scrolls Online has followed a particular tradition for a while. Since the year 2017, the game has been provided with a new DLC every year. Updates and stand-alone releases, too have rolled out quite frequently.
When The Elder Scrolls Online was launched a decade ago, the game could not woo all the critics. While some approved of the game, there were some who believed a lot more could have been done. In response to the mixed review, ZeniMax Online Studios rolled out a major update. This update played an important role in increasing the popularity of the game. Since the game has now completed a decade of its existence, one hoped that the gaming studio would do something to make the game a little more dynamic.

An announcement made in ZeniMax Online studio director Matt Firor’s end-of-year letter to players made it clear one will see named seasons lasting for 3-6 months. The semi-annual releases shall feature a combination of fresh Elder Scrolls Online content, including events, narrative threads, dungeons and items.
According to Firor, the new approach will enable the company to focus on a bunch of content that will be released throughout the year. As per the studio director, fans can also look forward to new systems, updates and fixes being rolled out in a more dynamic fashion.
All this will be a result of the development team now being more reorganized around a modular framework which has a release-when-ready structure to it.
