Samsung SM-T515

Samsung’s upcoming tablet SM-T515, has shown up in Geekbench today with mid-range specs.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the tablet will have just 2GB RAM. Whether there would be a 3GB RAM variant for this tablet is not sure at the moment and we’ll have to wait to know more details.

The tablet has scored 1277 points as the single core score and 4031 points as multi core score in Geekbench.

We already reported in the last week of December that a bunch of tablets and smartwatches were approved by Russia’s Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This tablet was pretty much part of that certification and we were able to spot other variants of this tablet in the EEC listing including SM-T510, SM-T510X and SM-T515X apart from SM-T515.

SM-T250

This model number is probably the 4G/LTE version of the tablet since it ends in ‘5’ whereas the model numbers of WiFi variants of tablets usually end in ‘0’.

SM-T510/SM-T515 is not the only tablet in the making but there are at least 3 more tablets apart from this, as found from the EEC listing and other reports. They are

  1. SM-T250/250X and T255/255X
  2. SM-T720/720X and T725/725X
  3. SM-P200/P205

Nothing more is known about this tablet at this point in time except that they will come in two color variants namely Black and Silver, as seen from a Sammobile report.

Samsung Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30, both of which have the same Exynos 7885 processor have slightly better scores in Geekbench than this tablet, both for single core and multi core scores. However, Galaxy M20 and M30 are powered by higher RAM capacities of 3GB and 4GB whereas this tablet has only 2GB RAM but SM-T515 comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box whereas Galaxy M phones ship with Android Oreo 8.1
