Recent times have seen rumors about the much-anticipated UMi Plus flagship escalate. UMi is regarded as one of the fastest growing smartphone sellers in the world, but it has yet to make a mark in North America.
The previous leaks have been showing details of what the UMi Plus will actually look like, however, the latest leak comes in form of a video. The video shows off the phone during unboxing, essentially confirming everything about the design and looks of the handset.
The UMi Plus reportedly comes with a premium design that makes it a worth competitor in the flagship niche. The good side of the story is that like many other Android OEMs operating in Asia, UMi will be pricing the phone affordably, despite the fact that it is expected to pack flagship hardware and features.
Featuring a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, the UMi Plus will actually be the first device powered by this processor and has Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. This is a huge step for UMi, especially considering that you won’t find many devices that come preinstalled with Android Nougat at this moment, even in the foreseeable future.
Other specs that are expected to come with the UMi Plus include a RAM of 4GB and a huge 4000mAh battery unit, which will be backed by PE+ fast charging technology. The display will come with the Ultra-high color saturation Sunlight technology that has already been used by the likes of Meizu and Xiaomi.
While UMi Plus might be considered by some as a flagship device, especially when looking at the features to be offered, the price of the phone throws it even further down the line and into the entry level models. Apparently, the phone has a pre-sale value of just $249.99, but this could include a $70 discount if you subscribe to for the UMi Plus to be reserved for you.
