Vivo is expected to launch the V23 Pro in the first week of January 2022. It has now appeared on Geekbench.
The Vivo V23 lineup will be a successor to the V21 lineup, which was released earlier this year. While the company is yet to break its silence about the V23 series arrival, leaks and certifications have already revealed key specifications of the phones.
Now, we have spotted the Vivo V23 Pro on the Geekbench website with the model number V2123. The model number belongs to the V23 Pro, as per the IMEI Database listing.
Coming to the Geekbench listing, it reveals that the V23 Pro will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek chipset code-named “MT6893Z/CZA”, which is nothing but the Dimensity 1200 SoC. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM. However, we expect more RAM variants, which will be revealed at the launch.
The Vivo phone boots Android 12 out of the box, with a layer of Funtouch or Origin OS skin, depending upon the region. In the Geekbench v5 test, the V23 Pro has scored 679 points and 2,707 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.
As of now, there’s no word from Vivo regarding the launch of V23 Pro. However, a 91Mobiles report claims that the device will launch in India in January 2022. The report further believes that the device could launch on January 4th or in the first week of that month. It also suggests that the Pro model will be released first and then the vanilla Vivo V23.
The Vivo V23 Pro is expected to feature a 64MP primary camera on the rear side, which is the same as in its predecessor, Vivo V21. The company has released the first member of the Vivo V23 series – Vivo V23e (4G & 5G variants) – in November. The device packs a 6.44-inch AMOLED display, triple cameras, and a 4,050 mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
