Vivo V5 was made official towards the end of 2016 and a few months later, the company has a new Vivo V5 Plus phone almost ready for launch.
According to the latest reports, the new Vivo V5 Plus will see the light on January 20th, which is next week Friday. The company has already sent out press invites for the event which should take place in Malaysia.
Vivo Malaysia has sent out invitations for the launch of the phone, which has yet to be launched globally. In a series of leaks that have been doing rounds, the Vivo V5 Plus will be a super upgrade to the Vivo V5. Even though it keeps the same 5.5-inch display screen size, you get a better Full HD resolution as opposed to the 720p HD resolution on the V5.
The Chinese OEM will be shifting attention from MediaTek processors and launch the Vivo V5 Plus with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 1.8GHz. This is paired with a RAM of 4GB and 32GB of storage. Whether this will be the only variant on offer cannot be told at the moment. The V5 Plus will be powered by a battery of 3300mAh and given the massive capacity, there will be support for Quick Charge technology to ensure that it doesn’t take ages to charge the phone. Even though the Vivo V5 has a decent 3000mAh battery, there is no support for fast charging technology.
The Vivo V5 has an amazing 20MP selfie camera, but the Vivo V5 Plus has an even better dual-lens selfie camera that adds another 8MP sensor on the 20MP used on the former. There is no doubt that this will be a hit when it comes to the midrange family. Since it is a midrange phone, the Vivo V5 Plus will still be shipping with Android Marshmallow out of the box. Whether or not the phone will at some point be updated to Android Nougat is still unknown.
Hey, the launch date is 23rd January’17 i.e. Monday.
Request you to correct it.
