Vivo is working on a wide range of smartphones across multiple segments including the Vivo V50, Vivo V50e, and Y29 4G.
While the handsets have been listed on the GSMA and IMEI databases, no details about the handsets are available about the handsets through the listings. The latest EEC Certification platform also reveals only their model numbers. The Vivo V50 and V50e are associated with the model numbers V2427 and V2428 respectively while the Y29 4G has the V2434 model number.
With no specifications revealed so far, the smartphones are anticipated to have at least the same or better specifications when compared to their predecessors. The Vivo V50 and V50e will arrive as the successors to the Vivo V40 and V40e whilst the Y29 4G will follow the Y28 4G.
Vivo V40, V40e Specifications
The Vivo V40 is powered by a 4 nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm along with 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM for the top-end model. The smartphone has a Full HD+ 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 1260 x 2800. It features a two-camera setup on the back comprising a main camera with 50 MP resolution and a wide-angle camera with 50 MP resolution. It is packed with a 5,500 mAh battery.
The Vivo V40e houses a 4 nm Dimensity 7300 chipset from MediaTek along with up to 256 GB storage and 8 GB RAM. The smartphone features a FHD+ 6.7-inch 3D AMOLED curved display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2392 resolution. It has two rear cameras that are a Sony IMX882 50 MP main sensor and an ultra-wide 8 MP snapper. It is powered by a 5,500 mAh battery with 80 W wired fast charging support.
Vivo Y28 4G Specifications
The Vivo Y28 4G encompasses a 12 nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor; RAM options of 4 GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB; and storage choices of 128 GB and 256 GB. The smartphone has a 6.68-inch IPS LCD panel with 720 x 1608 resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The handset has a 50 MP main wide-angle snapper and a 2 MP snapper. It comprises a huge 6,000 mAh battery with 44 W wired charging.
The manufacturer may follow the same launch timeframe as the earlier models for the Vivo V50, V50e, and Y29 4G. The Vivo V40 was launched in summer this year followed by the V40e last month whereas the Y29 4G arrived in July.
