Xiaomi is reported to have started working on its Xiaomi 15 flagship series comprising the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro for the Chinese market.
Both smartphones are slated to house the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and run on HyperOS-based Android 15. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is anticipated to feature IP 69-rated water and dust resistance.
Thickness and Weight
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has released a new leak mentioning the thickness and weight of the smartphone. According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have the same 8.5 mm thickness as that of the Xiaomi 14 Pro predecessor. However, the 15 Pro will be slightly lighter and weigh 220 g while the 14 Pro weighs 223 g.
Display
A different set of reports mentions that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a slight curve on all sides. The screen is likely to support a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 2K resolution, as well as an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Camera Setup
The Xiaomi 15 Pro camera setup on the back may comprise a 50 MP OV50K OmniVision primary shooter with a f/1.4-f/2.5 variable aperture; a Sony IMX8-series 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with maximum 5x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens.
Battery
A leak by tipster Digital Chat Station last week mentioned the battery size of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The handset may be packed with a 6,000 mAh high-density silicon-carbon negative electrode battery with support for 90 W wired charging and a possibility for 50 W wireless charging.

Although the manufacturer has not made any official announcement regarding the release date, the Xiaomi smartphones are anticipated to have an October release this year. Going by the past trend, they may first arrive in China before getting launched in the global market.
