The Xiaomi 16 has made its way in the rumor circle off and on. Among the various details that have been leaked, one of them is centered around the battery.
While some reports pointed out the inclusion of a 6,800 mAh battery, others just mention a battery capacity higher than 6,500 mAh.
A new leak has now once again come up, hinting that the battery size will be larger than all the earlier said values.

It states that the smartphone will house a 7,000 mAh battery. This is undoubtedly a tremendous leap over the 5,240 mAh battery of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15.
Expected Specs
Going by past reports, the handset will have a straight OLED display with a size of 6.3x inches. This means that the display could be sized anywhere from 6.3 inches to 6.39 inches. There will be a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The Xiaomi 16 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor under its hood. Interestingly, this will be the first smartphone to be released with this processor.
As for the cameras, the back panel of the handset will have three cameras. All of them will have a 50 MP resolution. Among the three cameras, one of them will be the main snapper while the other is a periscope telephoto lens. The selfie shooter will be a punch-hole camera in the center of the display.

In the design department, the smartphone will feature ultra-thin bezels. The aesthetics will be improved through subtle enhancements when compared to the Xiaomi 15. Overall, the handset will have an ergonomic and sleek look.
The Xiaomi 16 is anticipated to launch along with the Xiaomi 16 Pro in China towards the end of September this year. The Ultra variant might follow a few months later.
