Details about the Xiaomi Mi 6 recently emerged implying that the Mi 5 successor could be slightly pricier than the latter.
While this is just a mere rumor, another source has also followed suit with claims of having more information about the rumored Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship.
Previous reports had indicated that the Mi 6 will come in with quite an impressive set of specs, among them the speedy Snapdragon 835 with at least 4GB of RAM, but you can bet on a second 6GB RAM variant as well, probably with a larger storage capacity. While there was not much revealed about the display screen, a new leak has emerged with more details about the front panel of the Xiaomi flagship.
As it is, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in two designs. Where one will feature the usual flat screen, the second variant will have a curved dual-edge screen like what you see on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
When the two Xiaomi phones will be launched, they will reportedly be priced differently. In China, the flat screen Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with a price tag of CNY 2499 while the edge screen variant will be valued at CNY 2999 – a difference of CNY 500. When converted, the former will cost about $360 while the latter will be valued at around $430.
This is not so far away from what had been rumored before, with earlier reports putting the phone’s price tag at $370. However, back then there was still no word on the edge screen variant, which means the talk was about the flat screen model.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 should is further thought to come with a 5-inch display screen, but this could be the base model. With the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 at 5.7 inches, it is likely that the edge screen Mi 6 will come with a 5.5-inch display screen. As for the rest of the specs, you can expect a base model of 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM for the high-end model. Camera specs include 12MP on the back and 4MP for the selfie camera.
