A few days ago, it emerged that there’s a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X in the works, but at the time of its appearance, the device had no specific details about the processor on board.
Well, this is no more as the Chinese OEM has just confirmed that the variation of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will give birth to a device that is installed with a MediaTek Helio X20 processor. This is a deca-core chipset that has a clock speed of 2.1GHz and if this report it to be believed, the new Redmi Note 4X will ship with a RAM of 4GB.
Just so as you know, the original Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X was first unveiled in China and it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, same as the Note 4 variant that was launched in India a while back.
According to the report, it appears that the only change that the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has is the new processor. As for the rest of the specs and features, there are no changes when compared to the Snapdragon 625 variant. This means that you still get the likes of a 5.5-inch display screen with a Full HD resolution, 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of expandable storage.
Other specs and features from the Snapdragon 625 variant of the Redmi Note 4X that you can also expect from the new model are a 13MP snapper on the back alongside a 5MP shooter for selfies. The battery capacity should not change from the 4100mAh unit offered on the original model and neither should the 4G LTE connectivity, an all-metal unibody and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back.
As far as pricing and release date are concerned, Xiaomi has yet to say a word, but it won’t be long before clear details are out. Stay tuned and we’ll update you!
