Microsoft this week announced that it will soon be ending the production of Xbox 360. Despite this heartbreaking news for gaming lovers, there is some really good news coming in.
As it seems, the standalone streaming service from HBO known as HBO Now is now available to all Xbox 360 and Xbox One users. It gets even better as if you have been following the hit series Game of Thrones, the new season 6 premieres on April 24 but will be available for these users as from April 25 to April 28 and according to HBO, this new series will be available for free for all owners of Xbox devices.
To be a member of HBO Now, one needs to part with a mere $15 per month. Despite the small amount, the streaming service gives users full access to the entirety of HBO’s library of movies and TV series, among them the world-renowned series Game of Thrones.
The process of getting the free ticket for watching the season premiere of this Game of Thrones season 6 is a lot easier when it comes to current users of HBO Now. All you need to do is download the application on your Xbox 360 or Xbox One and proceed by authenticating your account. When it comes to new users, there is an option to try the service for free for a period of one month. To get this free trial, visit the official HBO website.
This is the sixth season of this series and if rumors are to be believed, we may only see 13 more episodes released after this season. This means that, according to showrunner David Benioff, the remaining episodes could be split into two short seasons – 7 and 8 – with the former slated for 2017. However, HBO says there might be possible changes in future.
Other hit series that will be coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 users through HBO Now include Silicon Valley and Veep, which come in with season 4 and season 6 respectively.
