The Superb from Skoda has toed the line to a massive growth in its sales by almost 85.2 percent over the previous figure since the same period last year, by delivering almost a million cars in the year 2016.
Skoda Superb For Success
Skoda should be feeling much stronger than ever since it has already sold out and delivered almost one million automobiles worldwide in the year 2016. The Czech automaker has managed to achieve this milestone for the third year in a row. Last year, it had achieved its milestone a month later than what it had achieved in this year. The flagship of Skoda, Superb, has been of a huge help in pushing the company towards its success. The Skoda Superb is the car which has substantiated the massive growth of 85.2 percent in the company’s sales figures over the same period last year. From January 2016 till date, Skoda has rolled out almost 1,15,000 units of the Superb off the production line.
Skoda Kodiaq for the Growth in 2017
The company is expecting that this growth will be accelerated to another level in the next year with the arrival of the much-anticipated vehicles namely the Skoda Kodiaq SUV and the upgraded version of the Octavia. The Kodiaq is expected to be launched sometime early next year and it should start getting delivered by February 2017. The CEO of Skoda had mentioned while talking about this achievement that the current financial year showed that the Škoda was able to sustainably tap into the new customer segments in the international markets with a range of models that are modern. He also added the company is looking forward to continuing their course of growth even in 2017 and an important role in achieving this will be played by the new Škoda Kodiaq, a model which is expected to expand the model range of Skoda in the growing SUV segment.
Apart from the Skoda Superb, even Rapid and Fabia have received a tremendously positive response from the automobile markets. The deliveries of these models also have been ramped up by 6.7 percent for the Skoda Rapid and by 7.0 percent for Skoda Fabia, over the same period of time.
Pricing in India
The Skoda Rapid facelift has already been launched in the Indian market earlier this month that arrives with a starting price tag of Rs 8.35 lakh, which is the ex-showroom price in Maharashtra, India, whereas the top-end model will be priced at Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom price in Maharashtra).
As a part of Skoda’s ‘Strategy 2025’, the company is also looking forward to digitalizing the company and also work on factors like electro-mobility, new products, and manufacturing, apart from new mobility services and connectivity. The company is also intending to grow in two other dimensions, firstly, in terms of increasing the sales of the vehicles and secondly, in expanding the course of growth to include new business segments like the digital mobility services.
