2017 Cadillac CTS

2017 Cadillac ATS and CTS models have received a new upgrade, the Carbon Black Sport package which is primarily a cosmetic package. It adds an elite black finish to different areas of the cars.

When you choose to purchase the special package for your car, the color choices for the ATS and the CTS models will be limited. Only four different colors are available for the basic ATS and the entire CTS series cars. The ATS-V provides five different color choices to pick from. The Carbon Black Sport packagelimits the interior color choices as well. The available options include light platinum and jet black, for the ATS and CTS models.

The 2017 Cadillac ATS when upgraded with the special edition package adds a black chrome grille and the side window moldings will be painted black. They will also be equipped with V-series spoilers, carbon fiber interior trim, After Midnight dark finish for the wheels and the door handles will be painted based on the body color of your choice. ATS and ATS-V owners are sure to appreciate the fact that the Carbon Black Sport package upgrades the interiors with V-series front seats from Recaro.

A similar set of modifications will be made to the CTS and the CTS-V variants when they use the Black Sport pack. It includes After Midnight dark wheels, V-series spoilers, black door handles, low gloss carbon fiber trim, black chrome front grille and new performance driven front seats. The Recaro seats are provided in the CTS series models. However, they are provided as an option and not by default as done in the ATS variants.

The ATS-V and the CTS-V, the performance driven variants from the Cadillac stable when upgraded with the Carbon Black Sport package get exclusive components including a rear diffuser, rear spoiler with increased height, hood vent trim and sharper front splitter. The appearance package for the 2016 Cadillac ATS and CTS models are expected to be rolled out this summer.

Dealers of Cadillac models have already started taking pre-orders for the package. Pricing for the same is yet to be officially announced. Given the history of the brand, we can expect it to be on the affordable site for most owners, especially if they are longtime fans of the Cadillac brand. Such exterior design packages are plenty. While they don’t provide a massive upgrade in performance, they do add additional comfort and give better looks to the car.
