The 2017 Kia Cadenza was officially launched at the New York auto expo.
The second generation car boasts of a couple of notable upgrades and being a full size, front-wheel drive sedan it’s usually an easy choice for long time Kia customers.
The newest model in the series promises to significantly shave off the weight to increase performance and offer better mileage. The car also has improved connectivity and comfort features to make the ride enjoyable for the passengers. Earlier, the automobile brand confirmed that they are about to use high strength steel materials which are durable but are much less in weight compared to the components used in the previous model. The base model is priced at $32,890 and will continue to increase based on the trimline of your choice among other add-ons you might opt for.
Kia announced the pricing of the base Premium trim which includes destination delivery charges of $900. The next in the lineup is the Technology trim which will set you back by $39,890. The top of the line Limited trim model is priced at a much higher $45,290. The price difference between the first two models and the flagship is much higher but it offers the best 2017 Kia Cadenza sedan you could get your hands on.
An impressive array of safety features are integrated in the Cadenza to assure a safe ride for passengers. It includes automatic pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, smart blind spot detection, surround view monitor, high beam assist and forward collision warning.
On the inside, the 2017 Kia Cadenza uses high quality Nappa leather finish with a large heads up display, 18-inch wheels which can be upgraded to 19-inch wheels combined with a Harmon Kardon 12-speaker surround sound setup. A surround view camera monitor keeps you notified of everything around the car to avoid collisions even in the most unexpected scenario. The second gen Cadenza is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine which delivers up to 290 horsepower combined with 253 lb feet of torque. It is mated to an eight speed automatic transmission and uses a front wheel drive setup.
According to Kia, their cabin is as quiet as a library providing a luxurious drive for their passengers. It supports both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The top executives also confirmed that many of the features are being offered in the entry level model so that they can experience what their flagship customers do at a lower price tag.
