With a revised set of new trimlines, the 2017 Mazda3 now starts at $18,680 and is still priced the same as the outgoing edition.
While the pricing of the base model remains the same allowing buyers to exchange their old model with the new one, the pricing of other trimlines has undergo some minor changes. A set of unique features are integrated in the car to make it future proof. It includes G-vectoring control for improved control over the vehicle irrespective of the speed and a comfortable ride is ensured by the usage of sound deadening elements. The 2017 edition should hardly allow any sound to pass in.
The 2017 Mazda3 trimlines have been largely minimized to make it easier for a buyer to identify his or her requirement. Instead of offering too many, the auto brand has properly segregated the models. More trim lines are being added to the manual transmission versions. The company has also decided to drop the I and S terms that are used to denote the type of powertrain being used in the particular model.
The six speed manual transmission version of the sport trim is priced at $18,680 while the automatic version is priced higher at $19,730. The hatchback edition starts at $19,330 and if you are keen on having an automatic transmission in it, it will set you back by $20,980. Under the hood, there are no changes as it is still powered by the same 2.0-liter I-4 engine capable of rendering up to 155 horsepower.
Buyers have the option to upgrade their vehicle with a Sport equipment package that costs about $1,000. For the price, you receive 16-inch alloy wheels, cloth cover on the sports seats, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, satin interior, heater side mirrors, blind spot warning and other features. The package cannot be installed on the hatchback version of the 2017 Mazda3.
The Touring sedan is priced at $21, 280 and the automatic transmission edition costs $22,330. The hatchback version however gets rid of the manual transmission and offers only an automatic version at $23,080. The price increase is somewhere between $450 and $550 on all models except the entry level sports edition.
The touring variants are powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 engine delivering up to 184 horsepower. You can upgrade it with a Touring popular equipment package that adds 18-inch alloy wheels, heated seats and many more add-ons. Mazda3 also is offered as a Grand Touring model priced at $23,980.
