A brand new teaser video for 2017 Mercedes Maybach S650 Cabriolet has been released and it gives a good idea of how the car will look.
The automobile brand has decided to make the model public before the official reveal at the Los Angeles auto show this month.
The 2016 Los Angeles auto show is about to host some of the exquisite new launches from top brands. The Maybach S650 Cabriolet is easily one of the top models that will entice buyers during the show. To promote the model before its official launch, the brand has released a short teaser video on their Facebook page. The model is a four-seater convertible which boasts of a posh semi-aniline leather upholstery in the car. Mercedes has confirmed that they are not going to go all-out with the model but rather limit it to just 300 cars in total. The pricing being on the higher side, this is not a car for everyone out there and Cabriolet owners will enjoy the exclusivity they get for paying the premium price tag.
The first edition is also marked with special badges, chrome exterior accents and specific logo at select spots. Under the hood, the car is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 powertrain. It is capable of rendering up to 523 horsepower coupled with 612 lb feet of torque mated to a seven speed automatic transmission system. Similar to the Maybach S600 already available in the market, the new Cabriolet will use a rear wheel drive system. While the first edition will use a less powerful engine, there are speculations that Mercedes has planned to launch a new Maybach S-Class Cabriolet with a V-8 engine. The proposed 4.7-liter V8 engine powered model will deliver up to 449 horsepower and use a nine-speed automatic transmission system.
According to information released by the auto brand, the 2017 Mercedes Maybach will go lavish in the components being used in the car along with exquisite add-ons. The car will be equipped with premium Burmester audio system with highly luxurious seats that are heated, ventilated with massaging capabilities. The COMAND infotainment system can be controlled using a large 12.3-inch display. The car will also have a fragrance dispenser, digital gauge cluster and mood lighting.
Safety features are abundant including adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking control. More details including the pricing and the availability of the model will be revealed during the auto expo launch.
