The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack is the rugged version of the popular family hatch from Volkswagen, Golf SportWagen.
The German company recently revealed pricing information for this 2017 model. The vehicle will land in the US Volkswagen dealerships starting from October and they are set to provide economic figures of 22/30 mpg in the city and highway runs respectively. The vehicle may essentially be the regularGolf SportWagen underneath, but it comes with new body cladding, additional ride height of 0.60 inches, and all-wheel drive.
Even the base model comes with a dual clutch transmission with six speeds. The base S model will be priced at $27,770 when the vehicle hits the dealerships in October. For those who want a six speed manual, there will be an extended wait since it will not be available until 2017 at the very least. However, it will be slightly cheaper to buy at $26,670. Some of the standard features on the base model are cruise control, front seat heating, eight-speaker audio system, leatherette seats, rearview camera, and an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen.
There is a significant bump into the next model, which enters into the $30,000 category. The SE model is priced at $31,350 for the automatic variant. For this upgrade, buyers will receive features like Fender audio system, keyless entry, push button start, and panoramic sunroof. These cosmetic upgrades are at its maximum on the SEL model, which is top of the line. Unlike the base variant, it is not possible to get the SEL model without an automatic transmission. Aside from all the features mentioned above, this version also comes with navigation, powered driver’s seat, lumbar support for the driver, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This model is priced at $33,710.
In terms of the options, one will be able add the driver assistant package for $845 on the S and SE variants. This package brings aspects like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, parking steering assist, and park distance control for the rear. A similar system is available for the SEL variant but it costs $1,995. For this higher price, this package brings aspects like adaptive bi-xenon headlights, high beam control, and lane departure warning in addition to the features found on the driver assistant package.
The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack comes with a 1.8-liter four cylinder engine making 170 bhp and 199 lb-ft of torque.
