In most modern day cars, carbon fiber material has become an inevitable component to make use. The 2018 BMW Z4 Roadster Concept has a delicate silver line made of carbon fiber material and not so surprisingly, it still retains the kidney grille a proprietary design found in all BMW cars. The headlights sport a twin light setup but because of the grille design, they had to be stacked one on top of another which is the first of its design modification spotted in a BMW car.

A wide clamshell bonnet runs all the way till the rear that ends in L-shaped LED rear light clusters. The driver is the main focus in the car, as confirmed by the company’s lead designer Marc Girard. Compared to the outgoing model, the new Z4 is lighter and it sports a fabric top instead of a folding hardtop. The designers made it so that the overall design aesthetics could be maintained in the car but when it goes into production, there may be some striking changes to the type of top used in the car.

Under the hood, the 2018 BMW Z4 Roadster concept is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an alternative option would be 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine unit. The base model produces up to 187 horsepower which can all the way up to 355hp in select variants.
