The 2018 Nissan Versa sedan has been officially announced today.
The company has confirmed the pricing of the car and its various trim line variants for customers in the United States. For a long time, Nissan has had a stronghold in the U.S. market and it is expected to continue with this affordable model.
The Versa sedan is a popular choice among budget car buyers who don’t have plan their budget because of the model’s base price. The next gen variant in the car starts at $11,990 and comes with a range of improved features to make it more comfortable than the outgoing variant. The 2018 edition has a bunch of add-ons like fully adjustable front seats, variable intermittent wipers and map lamps. The newest edition is available in a new color variant, the Deep Blue Pearl.
Under the hood, all the three versions of the new Nissan Versa sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of producing about 109 horsepower. The output may sound on the lesser side for those who are used to performance driven cars. However, considering the price tag and the fuel efficiency provided by the sedan, it is easy to consider it as one of the most commuter friendly models to hit the U.S. market in recent times.

The powertrain is mated to a Xtronic transmission and it has a fuel efficiency rated at 31 miles per gallon in the city while 34mpg is the rating on highway. The three variants of the 2018 Nissan Versa to hit the showrooms are the Versa Sedan 1.6 S 5MT, the 1.6 S Plus Xtronic and the SV Xtronic. The top of the line model is priced at $15,720 while the second model is priced at $14,130.
For buyers who want to stick to the base model, but need the fancy features Nissan provides the SV Special Edition pack priced at an affordable $500. For the package, buyers get large 15-inch alloy wheels, leather wrapping on the steering wheel, fog lights, 5.0-inch color display as part of the infotainment system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Rear view monitor and a couple of other features. It also supports hands free text message support so that you can message or reply anyone without taking your eyes off the road.
The 2018 Nissan Versa sedan offers two different transmission choices to choose from and seats up to five people. It is now available in all Nissan dealerships in U.S. region.
