The medium budget smartphone Meizu M5 from the Chinese manufacturer is finally available for pre-order in Russia.
Those who do so now can get ready to own the dual nano SIM handset around the same time in February. This is actually a bit late considering the fact that the device was accessible to people from various other parts of the world as early as October 2016. The Russian edition will be available in three colors – gold, blue and black. If you are lucky, your pre-order may fetch you a free Meizu EP21 headset.
For an affordable price, the Meizu M5 has some really interesting specifications. The gadget comes with a polycarbonate body and encompasses an mTouch fingerprint scanner. This scanner is suitably located on the front of the device at the bottom for quick access. The gadget is also quite sleek and lightweight with a size of 147.2 x 72.8 x 8mm and weight of 138g. The smartphone features a decently sized 5.2-inch HD screen made of 2.5D curved protective glass and renders a brightness of 380 cd/m2 with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. The contoured glass screen offers a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 and a pixel density of 282ppi. Also, the screen incorporates a blue light filter that automatically adjusts the amount of blue light emitted to lessen the strain on the user’s eyes when used for a long period of time. The Meizu M5 has a primary 13MP burst mode and phase detection autofocus supporting shooter with a f/2.2 aperture five-element lens and dual flash. This calls for crisp and sharp photos, and also excellent quality shots when lighting is minimum. On the front, there is a 5MP f/2.0 aperture four-element lens snapper which encompasses beautification features.
As for the processors used, the central processing unit is a set of two quad core processors functioning as an octa core MediaTek MT6750 processor. One set has a clocking frequency of 1.5GHz and the other set clocks at 1GHz. For graphics, the handset uses an ARM Mali-T860 GPU. Two versions will be available depending on the memory you opt for. You can choose between a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory smartphone and a 3GB RAM and a 32GB device. Both versions support memory expansion externally up to 128GB. The M5 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow preloaded and integrated with the manufacturer’s very own Flyme UI.
On the power front, the handset has a massive 3,070 mAh battery. The enhancements to Flyme UI offer battery optimization that in turn leads to longer battery life. The Meizu M5 also supports various LTE and VoLTE connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GLONASS, GPS and A-GPS.
