Yes, you read it right. Motorola Moto Z2 Play and Moto G5s Plus (model number XT1801) have been found running with Android Pie on Geekbench.
Now, this could be a pleasant surprise for G5s Plus users if it turns out to be true because Moto G5s Plus is not among the list of devices officially announced by Motorola to get Android Pie.

We’ve already reported on our site that Moto Z2 Force has been seen running with Pie OS in Geekbench. In addition to this, we’ve also seen Moto Z2 Play running with Pie which suggests both these devices could be getting the major OS upgrade in the coming weeks.
Motorola rolled out Android 8.1 Oreo update in September 2018 for Moto G5s and Moto G5s Plus. It’s surprising to know that Motorola hasn’t announced Pie update for Moto G5s Plus along with other devices especially when Moto Z2 Play, which was released even before Moto G5s/G5s Plus, features in the list.
However, the Geekbench listing could be unofficial and run on a device powered by Lineage OS. We’ll have to wait to see if this becomes true.
Thanks for the tip, Fernando Souza!
