Sony is a fan of the IFA event and it appears that this love for the Berlin-held annual event is not over.
According to reports, the Japanese tech giant will be in Germany early next month to unveil a pair of new Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones. The phones will carry model numbers G8341 and G8441 and in fact, the pricing details of these two phones have already been leaked.
Polish retailer Komp.tech did a huge mistake of listing the two Sony Xperia XZ1 phones on its official website and before they were taken down, screenshots of the same had already been taken. In addition to the price details, the listing also gave out some details on the specs and features of these two phones and we have them for you.
While the listing did not include the names Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, speculations are rife that the former will carry model number G8341 while the latter will come in with model number G8441. If you are a fan of Sony, you’ll know that the XZ1 is a flagship handset while the XZ1 Compact is, well, a compact variant of the flagship model.
Sometimes back, a UAProf listing revealed a phone with the same model number (G8341) and confirmed that this phone will be powered by Android 8.0 out of the box. The listing also suggested that this phone will come with a Full HD resolution. As per the new listing on the Polish website, the Sony G8341 will be priced at about 750 euros and it will be available in four color variants of Moonlite Blue, Venus Pink, Black and Warm Silver.
As for the second phone, which is believed to be the Xperia XZ1 Compact, will be priced at about 65o euros and will come in four color variants of Snow Silver, Horizon Blue, Twilight Pink and Black. Previous rumors have suggested that the Xperia XZ1 will come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display screen while the XZ1 Compact will come in with a 4.6-inch HD display screen.
Under the hood, both phones will feature the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC mated with 4GB RAM and while the high-end G8341 will pack a 3000mAh battery unit, the G8441 will pack a smaller 2800mAh battery unit.
The details of these two phones are still unclear, but given that Sony is expected to unveil them at the IFA 2017 event that kicks off in less than a month’s time, we should get more concrete info in the coming days.
