In March, Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S as an updated version of the Mi MIX 2 which was unveiled in September 2017.
Compared to MIX 2, the updated Mi MIX 2S came with better internals such as Snapdragon 845, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but there was no major changes in terms of design. The only noticeable design change that was brought on Mi MIX 2S was the inclusion of vertical dual camera setup. Today, a leaked photo of the alleged Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 has appeared online. It reveals that the handset may arrive with a streamlined design.
The Mi MIX 2 and 2S have slightly thick bottom bezel compared to their other bezels. However, the alleged Mi MIX 3 shown in the leaked photo features slim bezels on all sides of the screen. The thin-sized bottom bezel does not seem to have enough space to house the front-facing camera. Hence, there is a possibility that Xiaomi may incorporate a pop-up selfie camera on the Mi MIX 3 like the Vivo NEX or OPPO Find X.
The rear design of the upcoming Mi MIX 3 is not known yet as the leaked photo only shows the frontside of the phone. There is a possibility that the smartphone may continue to sport a ceramic build with a vertically arranged dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi is rumored to be prepping up its iteration of in-display fingerprint scanner. Hence, there is a possibility that the Mi MIX 3 could be the first Xiaomi phone to feature it. It seems safe to assume that the handset will be equipped with specs like SD 845, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of native storage and MIUI 10 flavored Android P. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 may get official in September like last year’s model.
