Alleged Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 with model number 21051182G surfaces on Russia’s EEC certification.
Xiaomi is reportedly in the works to launch Mi Pad 5 series which is believed to include 3 tablets. Rumors hint that the series will be unveiled in the second half of this year. Today, a Xiaomi tablet with model number 20151182G appeared on Russia’s EEC certification and it is believed to be the upcoming Mi Pad 5. This tablet could likely bear the codename ‘nabu’.

Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station recently claimed that Mi Pad 5 will use an LCD panel that will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, he revealed that the tablet will be lightweight& thin and feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is claimed to have a right-angled design for the screen, similar to iPad Pro.

Recently, Xiaomi M2105K81C obtained MIIT certification, which is said to be a variant of Mi Pad 5 with 5G connectivity. Rumors suggest that the base model of Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will have MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, while the Mi Pad 5 Pro could come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 SoC. The base model is said to have a 10.95-inch display and boots MIUI for Pad OS. It is likely to support handheld PC mode along with regular MIUI features.

The upcoming Mi Pad 5 could sport a dual rear camera setup which may include a 20-megapixel primary lens and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. It is said to have a single front-facing camera. The tablet is rumored to use Dual-cell technology giving a total capacity of 8,720mAh.

Xiaomi’s tablet business has been pretty much quiet after the unveiling of Mi Pad 4 in 2018. The surge in demand for tablets could be one of the reasons for bringing the Mi Pad 5. As of now, there is no word from Xiaomi regarding the launch of Mi Pad 5 series.
