The 60 FPS update was mentioned by Ubisoft Latam through a tweet that has now been deleted.

Recently, Ubisoft had dropped a hint about an update that could result in the arrival of 60 FPS in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was launched way back in 2015. Despite being around for 9 years, the game continues to have a huge fan following. If the game gets an improved framerate, it would appeal even more to players.

Upon its release, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate did not make much of a noise. However, its player base kept growing steadily with time. The fact that it has managed to remain relevant for 9 years serves as a testimony to the fact that it has been well-accepted by fans. The game is set during the Industrial Revolution in London and features the twins Jacob and Evie Frye as the protagonists. Despite some aspects of the game receiving a bit of criticism, most fans are of the opinion that this game added a lot of value to the franchise.

Aroged, a leading media outlet, stumbled upon a post that was created and then, deleted by Ubisoft Latam on Twitter. The tweet, which was originally written in Spanish, roughly translates to “Which Assassin’s Creed installment have you played the most times? Maybe Syndicate will be in 1st place with the new update that brings 60FPS.”

At the moment, AC Syndicate is playable only at 30 FPS on current-gen consoles. If an upgrade comes through, it would lead to fans replaying the Assassin’s Creed game. Now that the post has been deleted, fans are wondering whether the information they came across had any sense of accuracy or not. The 60 FPS update releasing, therefore, continues to be a rumor.

In the past, a few of the other games in the franchise have got next-gen updates. In the year 2022, Assassin’s Creed Origins received a major update for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The update was designed very similar to the kind that was proposed for Syndicate. After the launch of this update, the game started running at 60 FPS on those platforms.

This update, undoubtedly, will bring a smile to the faces of those who have followed the franchise for long. However, fans are even more excited about the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, scheduled to launch on November 15 this year. Assassin’s Creed Shadows shall feature dual protagonists in the form of the samurai Yasuke and the kunoichi Naoe. Set in Feudal Japan, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will give fans the chance to explore a bygone era.
