Smartphone maker Asus has released over the air updates for a few of its phones including Asus Zenfone 5, 5Z, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and Live L1.
Since the company launches the models in different countries with certain variations in the specs, the updates too are released specific to the respective geographies. Here are the details.
Asus ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL)
A couple of issues raised earlier have been fixed in this update; these include the Line photo transfer issue and notification bar UI issues. Then there is an update and optimization of the Android system. Besides all these, the Android security patch for March 2019 is also included in the updates sent by Asus to the Asus ZenFone 5. This update has been rolled out to users in Russia, Brazil and globally as well.

Asus ZenFone 5Z (ZS620KL)
The specific fixes on this include the issue of line photos rotating and to bring about an improvement in the audio quality. The February security update is also included in this update sent by Asus to the users of its Asus ZenFone 5Z. The update has been rolled out for phones in the Russian region.
AsusZenFone 4 Selfie Pro(ZD552KL)
The update for this Asus ZenFone model is limited to the latest March Android security patch. This is a 2-year-old phone and possibly all issues have been already sorted. This update is released globally for all regions.

Asus ZenFone Live L1(ZA550KL 8937CPU)
This model from Asus too receives only the Android security patch as released by Google in February 2019. This update is rolled out to users in all regions.
All these updates have been sent over the air (OTA) and Asus has advised the users to have patience since the updates are sent in the order of the serial numbers of the phones. Customers can check manually also if the update has been downloaded and installed.
