A new Nokia phone with model number TA-1172 has received approval from 3C authority in China.
Since the 3C listing of the phone shows that its retail box will include a fast charger, it appears to be an upcoming mid-range phone from the company.
The Nokia AD-18WC charger that supports 12V/1.5A will be available along with the Nokia TA-1172. The model number has been spotted for the first time. Hence, nothing is known on the identity of the phone. Since the handset can support 18W fast charging, there is a possibility that it could be the rumored Nokia 6.2 or the Nokia 8.1 Plus smartphone.
Recently, HMD Global confirmed that it will be holding an unveil event in Taiwan on April 2 to announce a smartphone called Nokia X71. The handset will be arriving with a punch-hole screen and a triple camera setup with 48-megapixel primary sensor and 120-degree super wide-angle lens. Rumors are rife that the same phone could be hitting the other markets as Nokia 8.1 Plus. Nothing else is known on the other specifications of the Nokia X71 smartphone.
The Nokia 6.2 is the other rumored phone from the Finnish company. The smartphone is rumored to be equipped with a 6.2-inch full HD+ display with a punch-hole for the front-facing camera. The Snapdragon 632 SoC is expected to drive the smartphone. It may hit the market in 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM.
For photography, it is expected to arrive with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. A 3,500 mAh battery power the handset that is rumored to carry support for rapid charging through USB-C. The handset is rumored to debut in the second quarter of the year with a price tag of around 279 euros ($315).
