The FPS war has reached an entirely new level this holiday season with three different AAA titles hitting stores at the same time.
Battlefield 1, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Titanfall 2, which is best one to buy this holiday season?
While most would suggest that you should buy the one that you love the most, there are so many factors that could help you pick the best shooter. Call of Duty Infinite Warfare started off as a failure with the most dislikes on Youtube. However, the single player campaign trailer of the game looks promising. Besides, it also bundles Call of Duty Modern Warfare in all new 1080p glory with a working multiplayer mode. These reasons when put together makes it a must buy for long term COD fans.
Battlefield 1 on the other end has impressed almost everyone and anyone with its World War I setup. Seldom shooters set during the era hit stores these days that gave Electronic Arts and DICE the winning edge. According to their infographics, over 13 million players participated in the open beta. The newly launched single player campaign trailer is highly promising than it has ever been for a BF game. The developers are experimenting with multiple storylines bundled into the same game to let you experience World War I in different perspectives.
A surprise entrant in the list is Titanfall 2 by Respawn Entertainment. The game will be multi-platform this year, available on PS4, Xbox One and PCs. The developers are adding a single player campaign featuring titans in the second iteration of the game. It makes it more interesting which when combined with the fact that titans have classes makes it a must play.
While Battlefield 1 is definitely going to take at least a year for all DLCs to be out and be more exciting, Titanfall 2 is a title that should give you great hours of gameplay and a brand new single player campaign. Besides, the game may not have the longevity of Battlefield series in the multiplayer scenario and you should probably buy it first before moving onto other titles.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is more of the same and anyone who had the chance to play a COD game knows what to expect. We really can’t vouch which is going to be the best of the three because all of them have single player as well as multiplayer modes to offer unlimited hours of fun. But, if you are looking for quick action in a new environment, Titanfall 2 is an obvious choice.
