The 2016 Paris Motor Show is about to take place and we have lined up the best cars that are heading to the special event.
Every year, the expo has managed to awe the crowd with a lineup of luxury cars from some of the top manufacturers around the globe. It is on par with the Frankfurt motor show and witnesses over 1.25 million footfalls every year. Besides the popular brands like Audi and Mercedes, it also showcases the best collection from French auto companies like Renault, Peugeot and Citroen.
The first in the list is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. It is the brand’s first ever attempt in creating a commercial SUV. They have long focused on sedans, coupes and other variants but have never ventured into the competitive scenario of SUVs. Alfa Romeo will go against seasoned players in the category and we can comment more on how good they have done their first impression only after the official launch.
At the 2016 Paris auto show, the brand will showcase the car and is expected to elaborate some of its unique features. Audi Q5, an anticipated SUV is making its first appearance at the event and will easily hog the limelight because of the brand’s superiority in the SUV segment. Close in the lines is the Citroen C3 which is a replica of the supermini but boasts of style, substance and luxury in every component. It is the luxury variant of the supermini that Citroen likes to offer to its elite buyers.
The event this year will probably be jam packed with big cars. There’s also the Land Rover Discovery and Honda Civic. While Honda is going for a sharper look for the long running Civic series, Discovery is all about toughness and a robust finish. There will be one for every type of requirement. A surprise is the Nissan Micra which could probably be the smallest car among the big SUVs on the show floor.
Other important launches scheduled to take place at the 2016 Paris Auto Show includes the Porsche Panamera, Skoda Kodiaq and Peugeot 3008. Almost all these models are rehashes of their current model. The pricing is expected to be close to current market range so that buyers can easily go for a next gen version without being constrained by budget. We will have more information on these cars and some surprise announcements once the auto show kicks off.
