Every year, we get the chance to purchase our favorites gadgets at discounted prices during the Black Friday shopping craze and this year won’t be any different.
In a few weeks’ time, Black Friday 2017 will be here and if you have been put off by the steep asking prices of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones, you shouldn’t miss this event. Last year, there were a good number of deals on the OG Pixel phones and even though nothing is confirmed at the moment, we are adamant that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones will also be discounted significantly.
During Black Friday 2016, the 32GB variants of the Pixel and Pixel XL were selling for $240 while the 128GB variants of both phones were available for $360, however, you still had to pay the full amount upfront ($649.99), with the difference deducted from your monthly bill for two years. Alternatively, the 32GB Pixel was selling for $10 per month or $15 per month for the 128GB variant. For anyone switching to Verizon or adding a new line to a current account, the carrier offered savings of $200 on either phone, but this was limited to Android phones priced at $400 and above. As a current customer, upgrading to a Pixel or Pixel XL during Black Friday 2016 also earned you $100 in savings.
We don’t know what will happen this year, but you can be sure that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be significantly discounted during the upcoming Black Friday 2017. If you can’t wait, there are also a few other channels you can take and still get either phone, but there won’t be any form of significant savings here.
For instance, you can get the Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL with up to $410 off if you trade in your old phone via the Google Store. Verizon is also offering up to $300 off on select devices, but if you don’t have a qualifying device, you can still get your hands on the Pixel 2 through Best Buy’s 18 months interest-free financing on a Best Buy Credit Card or Google’s 0% interest for 2-year monthly payments of $27.04 for the Pixel 2 or $35.38 for the Pixel 2 XL.
Black Friday 2017 will be on November 24th, which is about three weeks from now. You can wait, right? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
