Ever since Lenovo bought Motorola, the company hasn’t been in the same spot it was in many people’s hearts back at the time when it was owned by Google.
Despite all the fuss around the company’s ownership, there are still a bunch of great devices the company produces that are worth your time, especially when they get a discount of up to $216. Yes, you read that right! The Moto Z2 Play can be yours for as little as $192, down from the usual asking price of $408. Putting the issue of the Moto Mods aside, the Moto Z2 Play is a decent buy, however, this deal is targeting Verizon users and is available at Best Buy. This is not, however, the only limitation of this rather sweet deal.
In order to take advantage of this deal, you also need to get into Verizon’s contractual agreements. This means that you simply don’t get to pay the $192 one-off, rather, the carrier wants to tie you down to a 24-month contract of just $7.99 per month. Yes, it’s not costly, but it also comes at a price.
For this price tag, the Moto Z2 Play gives you a 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen featuring a full HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC mated with 3GB RAM alongside 32GB of expandable storage. The back has a 12MP lens while the front gets a 5MP unit and for the software, there’s Android Nougat running the show.
Keeping the Moto Z2 Play alive is a decent 3000mAh battery unit that supports fast charging. Although not bad, many were not impressed with this choice, especially when compared to the 2016 Moto Z Play that came with a massive 3510mAh battery unit.
